Two students from the Deltona School in Florida were accused of vandalizing the establishment’s library, causing damage evaluated at about $ 50,000 (approximately 42,000 euros).
The school alarm fired during the dawn on Sunday and, upon arrival, the authorities found a scenario of destruction. A glass door was broken and the interior of the library had papers spread across the floor, computer cables, and other damaged materials, as well as destroyed furniture, as shown on images shared on the authorities’ Facebook page.
Thanks to video surveillance cameras, the suspects – two 12 and 13 -year -olds – were quickly identified. On Monday, after the mothers deliver them, the teenagers confessed to the acts. According to the authorities, the boys will have “invaded the school during the day and returned later at night to see the damage and cause more damage”, when the alarm was activated.
The minors now face charges of two theft crimes, two of invasion of school ownership, vandalism and theft.
