After five years, the Slovak family from Madunice (district Hlohovec) was afraid of a son with a serious metabolic disease to relax on holiday in Bulgaria. Timurko († 10), who was diagnosed with metachromatic leukodystrophy, passed all the necessary examinations before leaving and the doctor gave him permission to travel by plane, he informs of the case.
But they did not enjoy the holiday for a long time. The boy started coughing during the second night and choked over the day. The summoned ambulance took him to the hospital in Varna, where he was in critical condition for three days. Later he began to breathe himself, disconnected him from the devices, and it seemed to be on the right track.
“But the last day of the holiday called us that our beloved Timurko died,” Mom Monika said, who was to see him with others on lunch that day. In the evening, the hospital staff has already announced the worst news.
According to a crushed mother, they did the maximum for her son in Varna and did not blame the staff. “I think the hospital was better equipped than ours. The doctor just told me that Timurko was very weak. Maybe it couldn’t last his body, he had been struggling with a serious illness for more than five years, ”she added.
The family now handles the transport of the body from abroad to which everyone has folded and They are waiting for documents from the autopsy. It reveals the cause of death. They are not ready for the funeral yet. Timurka will cremate and then decide what to do next.
