The municipality approved the support to another 26 families, within the municipal lease support program, in a global investment of € 95,927.28.
This program, created to respond to the growing difficulties in access to housing, “constitutes an essential instrument of municipal policy, allowing to alleviate charges with rent and ensure better living conditions for family aggregates in a situation of economic vulnerability,” the municipality said in a statement.
Since its inception, in 2020, the Municipal Rental Support Program has benefited 127 Tavirense families, “reinforcing the determining role of the City Council in combating social inequalities and promoting the right to a conditioned housing”.
With this new support, “reaffirms its commitment to continue to develop social and housing measures that guarantee stability, safety and dignity to the county’s families”, read in the note.
