United States President Donald Trump said he made progress with Chinese President Xi Jinping to finalize an agreement on Tiktok and that the two will be on the sidelines of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC) after a long-awaited connection between the two leaders on Friday.
“I just concluded a very productive connection with President XI of China. We made progress in many very important issues, including trade, fentanil, the need to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the approval of the Tiktok agreement,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.
Trump said he will meet Xi at the APEC summit, which will be held in South Korea from next month, and plans to visit China in early 2026 with the Chinese leader, in turn, visiting the US “at an appropriate time.”
