Federal Deputy Paulinho da Força (Solidarity-SP) published a video alongside the President of the Progressive Party, the PP, Ciro Nogueira, and said that the objective of the project on the punishments to the condemned acts “is not quite to amnesty people.” The statements were released on Instagram, on video, this Friday, 19.
“Continuing this task that gave me as a rapporteur of the Dosimetry Project, I came here to talk to Ciro Nogueira, one of the most important senators of the Republic,” said the parliamentarian. “I came here to talk about the idea, a little of what we are thinking, in a project that can amnesty people. It is not quite amnesty, it is to diminish the penalty of people,” he said.
The rapporteur also stated that “an intermediate project could pacify the country.” In response, Nogueira said he defends a general amnesty, the same claim to the opposition that supports former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). “We should have already turned this page of our story. You know that I defend the broad, general and unrestricted amnesty,” said the president of the PP.
On the night of Thursday, 18, Paulinho da Força had published another video, along with former President of the Republic Michel Temer and Federal Deputy Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG).
At the time, Temer and Aécio praised the new denomination of “PL of Dosimetry” rather than “PL of Amnesty”.
