The American actress Schedeen, known as the caring mother from the TV series Alf, has died

The character of Kate Tanner from the legendary series Alf is still remembered by many sitcom fans.

At the age of 77, the American actress Anne Schedeenová died, who is known to many Slovak viewers thanks to her portrayal of serial mother Kate Tanner in the popular sitcom about an alien named Alf.

Information about the death of the actress appeared on the official profile of the deceased on the social network. The cause of death has not yet been released.

The news of Schedeen’s death comes less than two years after , who played her serial son Brian in the series Alf.

Schedeen was born in 1949 in Portland, Oregon to a family with Swedish roots. Although she was initially introverted as a child, later her sociable nature fully manifested itself. She graduated from acting school and moved to New York.

She mostly acted in television projects. In 1986, she was cast in the series Alf. She played a mother in a typical Earth family, who had to start hiding a cheeky, but at the same time nice alien from the planet Melmac in her own house.

As an extremely patient head of the family, Kate Tanner tried to manage the cosmic chaos in her life, in which she liked to have everything precisely planned.

Actress Schedeen originally did not plan to act in the series Alf, but the humor of the creators finally convinced her to take the job. “That little alien made me laugh,” she recounted years later in her memories of creating the sitcom.
