“O’Zapft is”: Munich Oktoberfest starts with almost one million visitors

Munich – beer, streams, summer temperatures and a record assignment of the paramedics: According to the organizers, the 190th Munich Oktoberfest started at the weekend with almost one million visitors. On Saturday, Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) traditionally stabbed the first beer barrel at 12 noon. The medical service recorded a record number of more than 900 missions on the first day of the Oktoberfest.
