Despite the peaceful character, accompanied by the Acre Military Police (PMAC) and without conflict records, the mobilization exposed the weakening of the left -wing capacity in the state.
Data from the last presidential elections help contextualize this scenario. In 2022, Acre had 587,222 voters able to vote, of which 455,438 attended the first round, resulting in an abstention of 22.44% (131,784 people).
In the election, Jair Bolsonaro (PL) consolidated wide advantage: obtained 62.60% of the valid votes in the first round and increased the difference in the second, reaching 70.30%, against 29.70% of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
The contrast between the significant voting of the right at the polls and the reduced adherence to the act against the armage PEC reveals the difficulties faced by the opposition in Acre.
After more than two decades of petista hegemony in the state, the current picture shows a distance from the population from the left -linked guidelines, with a direct impact on street mobilization.
Low participation also demonstrates how national polarization manifests itself in a particular way in Acre. While in other states similar acts have managed to gather more people, in the Acre scenario early emptying shows not only the consolidated force of the right in the last elections, but also the difficulty of local leaders in maintaining popular mobilization for long periods.
This reality suggests that, in addition to the dispute against the Armage PEC, the opposition in Acre will have the challenge of rebuilding its social base and dialogue with a population that in recent years has clearly signaled its electoral preference.
