Acre will be the stage, between September 24 and 28, of Iê Viva Meu Master 2025, considered the largest capoeira event in the state. The program takes place in Rio Branco and Epitaciolândia, bringing together renowned masters, teachers and hundreds of students in times of learning, celebration and appreciation of Afro-Brazilian culture.

The meeting will be attended by big names in world capoeira, among them: Mestre Barrão, world president and founder of the Axé Capoeira group; Mestre Barrãozinho, world vice president of Axé Capoeira, filmmaker and pioneer by bringing capoeira to MMA; Master Tony Vargas, from the Senzala Group (RJ); DJ Capoeira, from São Paulo; Master Testinha, based in Canada; Sly master from Paraíba; Professor Rato, from Pernambuco; and the music producer Matias, also from Pernambuco.
The event will also have presentations of typical Afro-Brazilian culture dances, such as Coco de Roda, Maculelê, Samba-Reggae, Harvest, Afro and Frevo. All will be coordinated by teacher and choreographer Cristina Raquel, known in Capoeira as Graduate Pimenta. These manifestations are part of the country’s cultural richness and gain prominence in special moments like this, which will bring together big names in capoeira and popular arts.
Official programming
Day 24 (Wednesday)-Epitaciolândia
The official opening takes place in the center of the elderly, with the baptism of about 180 new capoeiristas who will receive their first graduations.
Day 25 (Thursday)-Rio Branco
Opening wheel at the Axé Capoeira do Acre Training Center, located at Rua da Lua, Sobral neighborhood, bringing together students from all nuclei in the capital.
Day 26 (Friday)-Rio Branco
Exchange of experiences at the Álvaro Dantas Gymnasium (Covered Gymnasium), with class and capoeira wheel taught by the guest masters. The activity will bring together students from Acolândia, Epitaciolândia, Brazil and Rio Branco.
Day 27 (Saturday) – Rio Branco
Considered the highlight of the program, the covered gym will be the scene of the State Capoeira Championship, from 15h, followed by the baptism of about 400 students from Rio Branco and Acrelandia.
Day 28 (Sunday) – Rio Branco
Ending the event, Cine Teatro Recreio hosts a special cultural night, with musical performances of great references from Capoeira: Master Tony, Master Tony Vargas, DJ Capoeira, Matias and the command of Mestre Barrão, in a musical show that promises to thrill the audience.
