Chamber votes on the 1st project that exempts to go to those who earn up to $ 5,000, says Motta

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB) said on Tuesday that the project that exempts from income tax those who earn up to $ 5,000 will be placed in a vote in the house plenary on Wednesday next week.

The government is interested in approving the project. Earlier on Tuesday, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said there is a favorable consensus on income tax exemption in the National Congress, but admitted a difficulty in defining compensation for this loss of revenue.

“The House of Representatives will vote on Wednesday (1/10) the income tax exemption bill (PL 1087/25), under the rapporteur of deputy @arthurlira_,” Motta published on his X profile.
