On June 10, the Federal Senate approved PL 5,122 of 2023. The proposal creates a special line of credit to alleviate debts for rural producers affected by climatic or geopolitical events.

The text has an estimated impact of R$140 billion on the Palácio do Planalto. The Parliamentary Agricultural Front, however, says the cost is R$65 billion over 13 years.
