“I come to defend the honorability of my government, of all the counselors and, of course, also to me who intend to stain the image of Navarra with false accusations of corruption,” Chivite insisted. “I hope to prove it in this investigation commission, which, well, has become a Roman circus than a true intention to know the truth, that will be my end,” he said at the gates of the commission headquarters.
The appearance on Monday of the General Secretary of the PSN and President of the Senate for a year and a half. Before Chivite, other prominent Navarrese socialist leaders have appeared, such as the Minister of Inclusion, on June 27, 2024;, Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Uncle of María Chivite, on July 15, and her predecessor as Minister of Territorial Cohesion and now President of the PSN, Bernardo Ciriza, last Tuesday.
They also passed through the commission; the former PSOE organization secretary, Santos Cerdán, in prison since July; and Koldo’s brother, Joseba García, also accused.
