The warm drink, valued for its health-promoting properties, is rooted in Indian culture. Golden milk, because that’s what we’re talking about, also functions as “turmeric milk” or “golden milk”. It is nothing else than milk (usually animal milk, but plant-based milk also works well) with the addition of turmeric and other spices, such as ginger, cinnamon, cardamom or black pepper.
That’s it thanks to turmeric, it gains its characteristic golden color, from which the name “golden milk” comes from. However, the color of the drink is not everything. Preparation method:

Remove the hot milk from the stove and optionally, add honey or maple syrup for taste. If you want, you can lightly whip the mixture to obtain a creamy consistency. Drink golden milk and serve it warm.
