The cause of death was unknown. According to the death certificate, the person who registered the death, whose name was not identified, reported that Raimundo José left no assets, despite being the sole owner of Amazônia Inter.

Investigation

The case was only discovered a year after the death and transfer of the company. Planaltina City Hall asked the Civil Police of Goiás to open an investigation (), on Monday (6/10). The municipal Executive also registered a complaint of possible fraud with the DF Commercial Board.

“Unfortunately, we received a very serious complaint, apparently, that the company that operates in our city was acting irregularly, as its former owner passed away and the transfer would have been made after his death”, said the mayor of Planaltina, Delegado Cristiomário (PP).

“After we became aware of this situation, we forwarded information to both the civil police and the Commercial Board of the Federal District so that they can take steps to investigate the veracity or otherwise of the complaints we received. It is very important that this public transport service between our city and the Federal District is provided in the best possible way”, he stated.

The report contacted Amazônia Inter Ltda., the new owner of the company and the Commercial Board of DF, but received no response until the publication of this report. The space remains open for possible demonstrations.
