Toyota is going through a difficult time in the Brazilian market. THE Porto Feliz engine plant (SP) was devastated due to a storm.

In the national market, only Corolla and are produced within the country. The sedan is made in Indaiatuba, in São Paulo, but production will soon be transferred to Sorocaba, also in SP.
A second factory is being built on site, attached to the existing facilities. There, the Corolla Cross SUV is also produced.
With the new facilities, it will also be another SUV produced at the unit. The car’s launch was scheduled for this month, but was postponed due to problems in Porto Feliz.
