Hamas said it was committed to the ceasefire as long as Israel fulfilled its side of the agreement.
The group reiterated that it is releasing 20 hostages alive as part of the first phase of “implementing President Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.”
Hamas emphasized that international mediators must ensure that Israel “fulfills its commitments under the agreement and completes the implementation of all its terms.”
The statement was issued shortly after Hamas’ military wing, the Al Qassam Brigade, handed over the first group of hostages to the Red Cross.
