The Federal Police (PF), with the support of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) and the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB), launched, this Tuesday (14/10), the sixth phase of Operation Overclean, with the aim of dismantling a criminal organization suspected of involvement in bidding fraud, embezzlement of public resources, corruption and money laundering.
In total, eight search and seizure warrants were executed, as well as a precautionary measure other than imprisonment and the kidnapping of illicitly obtained values, in the cities of Salvador (BA), Amargosa (BA) and Brasília (DF). The orders were issued by the Federal Supreme Court.
Those investigated may face charges of criminal organization, active and passive corruption, embezzlement, fraud in tenders and administrative contracts, in addition to money laundering.
