A 50-year-old man needed medical care after drinking mineral water on Friday morning (10)in Garça, in the interior of São Paulo. The mineral water consumed was from a batch of the Mineratta brand, according to the municipality’s health department.
According to the police, the bottles were seized at the hospital, at two distributors and at the company where the victim drank the water, with samples collected for forensic examination.
The case was registered at the Garça Police Station and steps are taken to clarify all the facts.
According to the Municipal Health Department of Garça, the population should avoid consuming the Mineratta brand, batch 253.1, manufactured on 09/10/2025 and valid until 09/10/2026.
The lot has already been seized and is being monitored by the police authorities.
The Secretariat stated that it continues to monitor the case and take all measures to ensure the safety of the population.
Pedro Scartesini – health secretary of the municipality of Garça – stated that the man was treated and it was found that the water was contaminated with some type of product. The man it’s already feeling better and was not transferred to the ICU.
DBG Distribuidora de Bebidas Garça, which is a distributor of Mineratta brand water, stated in a note sent to CNN Brazilwhich is taking all appropriate measures, both in monitoring the case of the consumer involved and in verifying the mentioned batch, together with the manufacturer.
In a new update, the distributor reinforced that it closely monitored the man’s recovery and that he is well and recovered after the incident. According to the note, batch 253-1 was duly inspected and did not present any visual, chemical, organoleptic changes or changes associated with the product in question.
According to the company, the two bottles specifically related to the case are under investigation by the competent authorities.
