Peter Kotlár, the government representative for the review of the process of managing and managing resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, stands behind all his statements. He stated this in response to the initiation of criminal prosecution in the matter of spreading an alarmist message in connection with his claims. He confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
“I stand by all the statements I’ve made so far, including those they’ve labeled as spreading an alarmist message,” he announced at Thursday’s press conference. He clarified that the criminal complaint was filed after he presented the conclusions resulting from the forensic report on vaccines against COVID-19, for which he also turned to the General Prosecutor’s Office. He informed that he had already testified in this matter.
The regional prosecutor’s office in Bratislava confirmed on Wednesday (October 15) the initiation of a criminal prosecution in the matter of spreading an alarm report in connection with Kotlar’s statements. She leads the proceedings in the matter, she has not brought charges against any person.
The opposition SaS had already informed about the initiation of the prosecution. She said she was being prosecuted for questioning the safety and efficacy of mRNA vaccines by Kotlar. She reminded that she had filed a criminal complaint against the representative back in March. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) expressed his support for Kotlár. He declared that he was behind him. He declared that even the initiation of criminal proceedings will not change the attitude towards his person. He described Kotlár as an honest and decent person.
