On Friday, October 10, rescuers had to intervene in the Bolka Polívky Theater in Brno, since the legendary actor Bolek Polívka (76) collapsed after the first part of the DNA performancewhere he also plays with his daughter Anna. According to the newspaper, he is now in the comfort of his home, but his health is still under surveillance.
The artist suffered a mild stroke right on stage. He had to be hospitalized on the night from Friday to Saturday. “Mr. Polívka suffered a sudden illness yesterday at the DNA show. Now he is under the care of doctors, he feels well. Monday and Tuesday performances have been moved to alternative dates, about which the audience was informed,” the theater announced on the social network a few hours after its collapse.
According to the latest information, he spent four days in the hospital. “The pain is already at home, but of course under professional medical control,” announced his ex-wife Chantal Poullain, with whom she has a son Vladimir. The news of his sudden collapse also affected his ex-partner and actress Evelyn Steimarová, with whom he has a daughter, Anna. “It almost knocked me over when I found out. I’m glad he’s home now and I really hope he doesn’t suffer any consequences.” she confessed.
A stroke definitely cannot be underestimated, that’s why Polivka is also cared for at home by neurologists. He regularly takes medication, undergoes various examinations and his condition is closely monitored. “And it’s not just the head. It could also be partial paralysis of the body. But for now, everything seems to be fine.” experts at the neurological department at the Faculty Hospital at St. Anna.
The actor is taken care of by his wife Marcela, with whom he raises three children. She lovingly creates a peaceful home environment for him and he follows the doctors’ recommendations so that he has everything necessary for a speedy recovery.
