In the other action, he was sentenced to one year and four months in prison after calling then-councilman Daniel Annenberg a “Jew, son of a bitch” and a “shit Jew”, during the discussion of a project at the City Council on December 11, 2019.
The sentences, in both cases, were replaced by community service provision and payment of compensation.

To the Panel, the Nunes administration says that the penalty has been prescribed and, therefore, there is no impediment for Amadeu to take up the position. The city hall also informed that the former councilor will be assigned to the Municipal Secretariat of Institutional Relations given his political experience.
The prescription of serving the sentence, however, does not eliminate the conviction, nor its legal effects.
The management also highlighted that it approved a law, in November 2023, that creates the Day to Combat Anti-Semitism and Fascism.
“Also in 2023, the city hall joined the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), an organization made up of 35 countries that combats Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism worldwide,” says the note.
“Therefore, this management does not allow, under any circumstances, any attempt to associate with possible episodes of this nature.”
When contacted by the Panel, Amadeu did not speak.
