The structure that covered the stands of a beach tennis tournament held at the Arena Beach Ribeirão, in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, collapsed after a strong windstorm this Saturday (18) and left six people injured.
According to the Sand Series Ribeirão Preto organization, an evacuation coordinated by firefighters was carried out without any other complications. The six injured were treated at the scene and taken to Unimed Hospital.
“Sand Series Ribeirão Preto wishes a speedy recovery to the injured and is offering all support to the fans who were present at the scene”, added the organization.
The Fire Department confirmed that it is at the scene assisting the victims.
