City of São Paulo records coldest morning for October since 2014

A capital of São Paulo registeredthis Monday (20), the coldest morning for the month of October since 2014. According to the state’s Civil Defense, today the thermometers registered 11.2°C, a temperature that was only above October 2014, when the capital reached 10.7°C.

According to Civil Defense, the temperature reached in 2014 only surpassed what would have been recorded in October 2003when the temperature in the city reached 11°C.

With the arrival of a new cold front, thermometers should. According to the CGE (Emergency Management Center), the maximum temperature should not exceed 17ºC in the capital this Monday.

According to the State Civil Defense, the temperatures still remain low this morning, when occasional rains can be observed on the coast of São Paulo, especially in Ubatuba, Caraguatatuba and São Sebastião.

In the capital, thermometers vary between 11°C e 16°C. In Campos do Jordão, in the Serra da Mantiqueira region, the minimum will be 7°C and the maximum will be 13°C. Temperatures can rise throughout the day but, at night, the thermometers drop again and the more intense cold returns.

Last Friday (17), the Municipal Civil Defense declared a state of alert for low temperatures throughout the city. The advance of the cold front is associated with humidity coming from the Amazon.
