With El Clássico knocking on the door, controversies involving the Real Madrid squad and Lamine Yamal, from Barcelona, became news in the Spanish newspapers. In an appearance in the Kings League, the Catalan team’s star took the opportunity to provoke the Merengue team.
What did Yamal say about Real Madrid?
Yamal owns one of the Spanish Kings League teams, La Capital. When asked if his team’s next opponent, Porcinos, could be compared to Real Madrid, the striker stated:
– Of course. They steal and complain – said Yamal.
The Barcelona player also stated that the Santiago Bernabéu does not scare him.
– Bernabéu? The last time I went there… 0x4, yes. (Laughter) – he stated.

What did the Real Madrid squad think of Yamal’s statements?
According to the Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’, the statements went down badly in the Real Madrid dressing room. On the Merengue side, the perception is that Yamal is “a terrible teammate”, and the jewel’s behavior off the field irritates the Madrid fans.
According to the publication, Real Madrid players considered the provocations unnecessary. They believe that Lamine Yamal, perhaps due to his young age, does not respect codes among professionals.
The statements were also commented on during the Merengue team’s training. However, no one responded publicly until this Friday (10/24).
Real Madrid and Barcelona face each other next Sunday (10/26), at 12:15 pm (Brasília time), in the 10th round of the Spanish Championship. The game is worth the tournament lead – at the moment, Real leads with 24 points, two more than Barça.
