Thousands gathered in Carcavelos to take part in the race. This Sunday, a half-marathon is also scheduled, starting at the Vasco da Gama Bridge.
We ran, Eastand Saturday, another edition of the Lisbon marathon. This year, The record for participants was broken. Coming from all parts of the world, thousands of athletes came together in Carcavelos stops at 12.3rd edition of EDP Maratona of Lisboa.
HASat 8:00 a.m departure time, it started to rain. The alert precipitation strong issued bythe Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphereera didn’t take away the motivation aos athletes..
To complete the 42 kilometers dthe marathon made entirely by border–rio and sea, months of preparation are needed.
The objectives are many, but, in the end, the more important is cross to the finish line.
