ÖFB team beats Tunisia 1-0 in the last test before the World Cup despite being outnumbered

Vienna – Austria’s national soccer team also won the last test match before the World Cup. The 1-0 win against Tunisia in Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium was a somewhat strange affair: Ralf Rangnick’s Einserpanier was lucky several times in the first half not to concede a goal and also lost Konrad Laimer with a red card (36th). After the break, the ÖFB team, refreshed by many changes, showed a more attractive face despite being outnumbered and won not undeservedly thanks to Marcel Sabitzer’s goal (63rd).
