You can buy cranberry juice at a health food store or prepare it yourself. To prepare it, you will need fruit and a few other ingredients.
Cranberry juice – ingredients:
- cranberries (fresh/frozen) – 500 g or 1 cup of dried, unsweetened
- water – 1 liter
- honey – 3 tablespoons (you can also use another natural sweetener)
- lemon – 0.5 fruit (juice)
- fresh ginger – a piece (for flavor)
- cinnamon – a little (for flavor)
Rinse the cranberries, put them in a pot and cover with water. Add spices and cook for fifteen minutes or twenty minutes (they must crack). Then strain the liquid through a sieve and lightly squeeze the fruit. Add honey and lemon juice only when the drink has cooled down slightly.
Pour the finished cranberry juice into a bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze it in ice trays and add to drinks as needed.
One glass of tea with cranberry juice a day will have a positive effect on your well-being and the condition of your body (unless you have any contraindications to drinking it). Besides, it is very tasty. Do not add it to boiling water, because the high temperature will destroy what is most valuable: vitamin C and some antioxidants.
