The White House confirmed the bilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump and Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The meeting is expected to take place around 4:30 am (Brasília time).

Brazil seeks to position itself as a mediator in regional tensions in Latin America, especially with regard to Venezuela and Colombia.
The Brazilian government is working on the possibility of a new meeting in Washington later this year, which would include the participation of technical advisors from both countries to discuss trade agreements.
