Murder trial involving stabbed 72-year-old and thousands of fake passports

Vienna – Prosecutor Anna-Maria Wukovits thinks little of the program quality of German private television. “In reality, it’s an embarrassing defense strategy like something out of a bad Hollywood film. A film that only gets one slot: after 10 p.m. on RTL 2,” she explains to the jury at the beginning of the murder trial against 39-year-old Mr. A., who has to answer before the court chaired by Magdalena Klestil-Krausam. “He adapts his story depending on the evidence,” she argues, explaining why she is convinced that the blameless defendant intentionally killed a 72-year-old in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus on the evening of December 28th.
