Last Sunday afternoon, the Municipal Police arrested a 29-year-old Colombian citizen who was in a park in the district of (Madrid) kissing an 11-year-old minor. It was a woman, who was with her family in the area, who raised the alarm when she witnessed and photographed the scene in shock and observed how the man and the child tried to hide behind some bushes in the gardens of the Palacio de la , on Madrid’s General Ricardos street. The detainee is accused of sexual assault of a minor under 16 years of age and has been brought to justice.
“There is a man of about 40 years old kissing a minor,” he reported on the Municipal Police emergency telephone number. Immediately, a district police team approached the point where the complainant was and asked her for details of the man and the minor she had observed, such as their clothing, in order to try to locate them in the park.
The woman showed them the photographs she had taken of both of them and the police were able to corroborate her story, in addition to obtaining crucial information to locate them.
The agents notified the UFAM, the Family and Minors unit of the National Police, and conveyed all the information to them, while locating the man and the boy in a hidden area between trees and bushes in the park.
The minor was quick to say that the adult, whom he called Juan, was his uncle, but was immediately denied by him who, when questioned by the agents, admitted that he was not related to him and explained that they had met on the social network Tik-Tok approximately a year ago. He specified that they had seen each other on more occasions in that place and assured that they were “in love,” municipal police sources confirm.
The individual, accused of sexual assault, added: “I know it’s wrong, but I love him,” and that they had only met four times since the beginning of October: two in Vista Alegre and two in El Retiro park, that they communicated through WhatsApp and that he had not revealed his age until a few months ago.
For his part, the minor, upon seeing that they put handcuffs on Juan, the adult who accompanied him, began to cry saying that what united them was “love” and begged them to leave him and not say anything to his mother, since only another friend of his was aware of that relationship.
The mother, later located with the telephone number provided by her son, stated that she thought he was riding a bicycle with another friend and explained to the UFAM agents that she had told him that “the entire family” of the aggressor knew of her relationship with him.
