The actor, who played Igor, a personal trainer and one of the lovers of Odete Roitman, a character in the remake of “Vale Tudo”, was present at the recording of João Gomes’ DVD, last Sunday (10/26). During the event, he spoke with reporter Monique Arruda and told her what he thought of the plot’s outcome.
“Hey Gloria! I kissed Odete Roitman”, joked the actor, in a good-humored tone. Then, Velasco praised the production: “Man, it was incredible. Everyone says that, that’s because it really was. ‘Vale Tudo’ was a success. I think everyone who watched it loved it, watched it faithfully, everyone was faithfully following it.”

Asked about the ending, which divided opinions among the public, Bernardo got straight to the point and defended the authors’ choice. “Wonderful ending, I loved it”, he said, and added: “It’s Odete, right? She’s a Brazilian icon, she couldn’t have a dead end again. Wonderfully done by Débora. So I really liked it. I think Débora did an impeccable job… Returning to a nine o’clock soap opera, I think it was a World Cup final for me.”
The actor also commented on the comparison with Reynaldo Gianecchini, made by the public, and said he was flattered: “I am very happy with this comparison”. Single, he confirmed that he is enjoying his free time: “Enjoying life.”
Finally, Bernardo celebrated his participation in “Dona de Mim”, a new 9pm soap opera that replaced the remake by Manuela Dias and has Grazi Massafera as the protagonist. “I participated in ‘Dona de Mim’. I was very happy… The story is really cool, I was happy to meet other people, another team, another director. I think it’s really cool, you’ll enjoy it.”
