The COB (Brazilian Olympic Committee) will announce this Tuesday (28), in Milan, Casa Brasil Milano-Cortina 2026. The place “will be a hospitality space that will take the energy, flavor and soul of Brazil to the heart of Italy” at the Winter Olympic Games, which will take place in Milan and Cortina D’Ampezzo.
The initiative, to be launched within a hundred days of the sporting event, will be similar to those seen at the Paris Olympic Games last year. On the occasion, the committee set up a hospitality area in the north of the French capital, with musical performances, the presence of Brazilian athletes who won medals and actions with sponsors.
In Milan, Casa Brasil will occupy Casa Degli Artisti, which will take on green and yellow colors from the 5th to the 21st of February. One of the objectives, according to COB, is to “engage artists from the Brazilian community”. The head of the Brazilian mission for the 2026 Winter Games, former skeleton athlete Emílio Strapasson, and athletes such as Pat Burgener, Édson Bindilatti and Nicole Silveira will be present at the inauguration.
“It will be the first Casa Brasil in an edition of the Winter Olympic Games, and that in itself is already a milestone. We want more than to present Brazilian culture, we want to engage the foreign public. And also bring closer the large Brazilian community that lives in northern Italy, mainly, which is around 50 thousand people, according to our embassy. It will be a success, without a doubt”, said COB’s marketing and communications director, Manoela Penna.
