Vienna/Schwechat/Dublin – The low-cost airline Ryanair is again complaining about the high fees in Austria and is therefore withdrawing two more aircraft from Vienna for the summer of 2026. The airline accuses the Austrian government of not abolishing the aviation tax and that the fees in Schwechat are too high. Vienna Airport stood by Ryanair by responding by calling for the “necessity” of abolishing or significantly reducing the state aviation tax.
