The time is coming when we will once again think much more about energy expenses. From this point of view, the heating season is simply essential for the family budget. Although we live in an age that has essentially disqualified solid fuels, there is one option that won’t burden either the bill or nature.
We know very well that heating homes with solid fuels, especially coal, is not an ideal solution. Waste products pollute the environment, which is a very important aspect today. For a change, classic wood heating requires a lot of work. A much better choice will be wooden pellets, which are also easier to use. Those who have tried them once do not want to return to regular heating.
The following YouTube video on the Česká Peleta channel also talks about wood pellets:
Wood is not like wood…
Although heating with wood has a long tradition in the Czech Republic, we can safely look for a more efficient method, such as the one offered by the mentioned pellets. What exactly is it? These are pressed rollers made of pure wood . We can therefore use, for example, sawdust from woodworking operations in this way. These are then compressed under high pressure without any chemical binders, resulting in a heating material with which we will not have major problems at home.
Warm and sustainable
So why heat with wood pellets? There are many reasons. So, for example, thanks to their high calorific value, they can easily replace so-called fossil fuels, specifically coal, whose supplies will eventually run out. Pellets are a sustainable source that offers constant supply, they are ecological and their price compares very well with other fuels and their efficiency. In short, it is one of the simplest and best ways to heat a household.
Get a boiler
The truth is that for really efficient heating with wood pellets, you need to purchase a special pellet boiler. Although it is a certain investment, its owner will continue to benefit from the perfect automation of such a system. Unlike others which require regular addition, this one automatically dispenses pellets from the hoppers. In addition, the entire system requires only minimal maintenance, such as only occasionally removing a small amount of ash and refilling the pellet hopper.
They do not pollute the environment
If we look at such heating from the point of view of environmental protection, we can consider pellets as a so-called neutral source that does not affect its quality. The only carbon dioxide that is released during combustion, unlike other fuels, is that which the tree absorbed during its lifetime. For this reason, wood pellets do not contribute in any way to increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
A win-win decision
Maybe you haven’t thought about such a heating method yet, but in our country this method is becoming more and more popular. At the same time, all these requirements (warming up, not breaking the bank, ensuring comfort and not burdening the environment) are met by wood pellets. As it seems, right now is the time to think again and evaluate whether such an idea could meet with your family’s approval.
