US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi signed an agreement to guarantee the supply of minerals essential e lands rare through mining and processing this Tuesday (28), said the White House.
The countries plan to cooperate through the use of economic policy tools and coordinated investments to accelerate the development of diverse, liquid and fair markets for essential minerals and rare earths, the statement said.
The leaders met for the first time in Tokyo to discuss trade and security, a week after she became Japan’s first female leader and promised to accelerate military buildup.
