The Secretary of Public Security of , (PP), intends to temporarily resume his mandate in order to report, still in November, the project that, according to the author of the text, deputy (União Brasil-CE).
The bill extends the application of anti-terrorism law to criminal organizations and private militias. The text had its urgency approved in May, which means it can now be brought to the plenary.
Danilo Forte, Derrite, the deputy (PL-MG) and the PL leader in the Chamber, (RJ), met this Tuesday (28). At the meeting, which had already been scheduled, it was decided that the project’s rapporteur would leave Nikolas for Derrite, according to Forte. The expectation is that the secretary will finalize the opinion next week. With this, he would resume his mandate in the Chamber so that the proposal can be voted on in November.
The movement of Derrite, who is expected to run for the Senate in 2026, is that of prisoners — he resumed the parliamentary mandate to approve the proposal, for which he was also the rapporteur.
Forte defends legislation that provides agility to prevent the actions of factions and that combats the premeditation of crime.
He states that it is necessary to advance even in calling up the Armed Forces. “The Armed Forces have to protect Brazilians. And we have a very large idleness of the Brazilian Armed Forces. So I think it was an important role for the Army, the Navy and the Air Force to help us at this time”, he says.
