Eduarda Bezerra won the 2025 edition of the Olympia in the Wellness category on the 11th. The title in the most important bodybuilding competition in the world came in the same season in which the athlete from Pernambuco became champion of the Arnold Classic Ohio.

After experiencing the best year of her life as a bodybuilder, the athlete gave an interview to the column and explained several changes that her coach, Matheus Donaire, implemented in her last preparation: “We started doing harder training, honing some points to bring more muscular maturity. In this preparation, I only did aerobic exercise on the stairs to be able to push my conditioning even further and reach a different level than what I had presented until then.”

Despite having achieved the best physique of her life, Eduarda said that the preparation was “calm” and “healthy”, without the need to “suffer so much” in the finishing week.

The strategy of carrying out a longer process, but with less need for abrupt maneuvers, aimed to leave the athlete’s body as rested as possible on the day of the competition: “This is important because the physique responds better when it is rested, when the mind is calm”.

In short, the bodybuilder was ready to compete before the scheduled date. This allowed the final week, considered the most delicate and determining phase of preparation, to be less stressful. Even acknowledging the difficulty of “maintaining the stage physique for three weeks”, she attested that the strategy was correct: “When the physique is ready, the athlete becomes more relaxed”.

Finally, Eduarda discussed the moment she heard her name being called by Bob Cicherillo, Olympia presenter. “It’s a unique and very special moment. I didn’t expect to experience it in such a short period of time, I confess. The confrontation between the previews made me a little insecure, so when he called my name, I was really shocked. […] It was a dream. It still is, it’s like I hear it all the time,” he concluded.

The Pernambuco bodybuilder’s next competition will be the 2026 edition of the Olympia, where she will seek to maintain her title.
