More than a thousand incidents related to bad weather were recorded in mainland Portugal between 12:00 on Tuesday and 8:00 this Wednesday, most of them floods, according to civil protection.
Between 12:00 on Tuesday and 08:00 today, 1,005 incidents were recorded, of which 211 in the city of Lisbon and 764 in the remaining districts due to heavy rain, the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) told SIC.
The majority of incidents were flooding on public roads (679) e tree falls (18).
In the Algarve region, 40 incidents were recorded. This Wednesday, several people were surprised by cars that were submerged due to heavy rainfall.

According to ANEPCduring the night there were no reports of victims.
On Tuesday, a woman was seriously injured following the floods recorded in the parish of Barcarenaone of the areas of the municipality of Oeiras most susceptible to bad weather.
Due to the forecast of rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, the IPMA also placed the districts of Évora, Setúbal and Beja.
The districts of Santarém and will be under yellow warning until noon, and Castelo Branco and Portalegre are also under yellow warning until 3pm.
