Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke of a “historic victory” on Monday night. And let yourself be celebrated. According to the Central Election Commission, after counting 553 of the approximately 2,000 polling stations, 51 percent of Armenians voted for Pashinyan’s “Civil Contract” party. “Strong Armenia”, the party of the Russia-friendly oligarch Samvel Karapetyan, has 23 percent. The “Armenia Alliance” and the “Blooming Armenia” party follow in the following places. For a majority of forces loyal to Moscow, this is not enough. However, as of Monday morning, this is not yet a reliable end result. This is not expected until later in the day.
