The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy reported this Sunday (June 28, 2026) that 14 people died in the crash of a helicopter. These are from SPA (Saudi Press Agency), the country’s official state news agency.
The helicopter was operated by state oil company Saudi Aramco and crashed in Ras Tanura on the east coast at around 6am. All of the dead were Saudi citizens.
The cause of the accident is being investigated, according to the government.
“The Ministry of Energy expresses its deepest condolences to the families, praying to God to grant them mercy and forgiveness”, declared the government in a note.
