The Minister of Tourism, , had significant growth in polls of voting intentions for the Senate of Pará,.
According to research released by the Paraná institute, it went from 10.8% in June to 20.7% now in one of the scenarios.
The leader is the current governor Helder Barbalho (MDB), with 49.3%, followed by Delegado Eder Mauro (PL), with 32.5%.
There will be two places up for grabs next year. Right behind Sabino, in a situation of technical draw, appears the current senator, Zequinha Marinho (Podemos). The margin of error is 2.6 percentage points.
In another scenario, Sabino appears in second, with 28.2%, while Helder has 54.2% and Marinho, 27.1%. In this case, there was no previous research.
The score should reinforce Sabino’s argument for staying in government, defying his party’s determination to leave the ministry. He is counting on the position’s projection to increase his electoral chances next year.
The minister faces expulsion proceedings and may have to look for a new party from the government base to run for the Senate.
