Israel says bodies received are not those of dead hostages

Country claims that 3 remains handed over by Hamas on Friday (Oct 31) do not belong to any of the last 11 that were not returned

Israel stated this Saturday (Nov 1, 2025) that the 3 of Hamas on Friday night (October 31) do not belong to any of the 11 hostages whose remains have not yet been returned, according to an Israeli army spokesman. AFP.

The bodies were received by the country’s forces through ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) agents in Gaza. Under the ceasefire agreement, Hamas returned all 20 hostages alive and agreed to hand over the remaining bodies of 28 hostages in exchange for 360 Palestinians killed in the war.

The 3 bodies in question were received after in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday (Oct 28), ordered by the Israeli Prime Minister (Likud, right), who violated the ceasefire agreement and left 104 people dead.

Hamas released the alive that he kept in captivity, on October 13, shortly after the start of the ceasefire and began the process of returning the bodies. However, successive delays in delivery provoked reactions from the Israeli government, which stated that the Palestinian group was not complying with the truce agreement.

Israel has carried out 2 more bombings in Gaza since justifying the actions as a response to shots that killed 3 Israeli soldiers.
