O Flamengo faces São Paulo on Wednesday (5), at Brazilian Championshipwithout Jorginho and Carrascal. The midfielders remain in the medical department after suffering injuries in recent weeks. The teams play at Morumbis, in São Paulo.
Starting in the victory over Sport, Carrascal was substituted in the first half due to pain in his lower back. The Colombian underwent tests, which showed bone edema in the rib region, without a fracture, and is undergoing treatment at the medical department.
The club does not confirm a deadline for recovery. The tendency is for Carrascal to also face Santos, on Sunday (9). Afterwards, the technical committee will evaluate the midfielder’s return against Sport, on November 15th, in a delayed Brasileirão game.
Jorginho suffered a muscle injury to his right thigh against Racing, in the Libertadores, and was already absent against Sport. There is no established deadline for the return of the steering wheel.
The medical department still “counts” on Everton Cebolinha (hip injury) and Pedro (fracture in his right arm). The club is working to have the entire squad available against Palmeiras, on November 29th, in the Libertadores decision.
