FBI investigates suspected manipulation in UFC fight

Bookmakers refunded bettors after favorite Dulgarian unexpectedly lost to Del Valle in the 1st round

O began an investigation into possible result manipulation in the fight between Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier del Valle, held at UFC Vegas 110 on Saturday (Nov 1, 2025). Favorite, Dulgarian was surprisingly defeated in the 1st round.

Dana White, CEO of the UFC, confirmed on Wednesday (5.Nov.2025) that he is collaborating with the North American federal police. The case could represent the second betting scandal involving the organization in 3 years.

A (Integrity Compliance 360), a partner company of responsible for monitoring the integrity of bets, detected an unusual volume of bets favoring Del Valle hours before the fight, mainly for victory in the 1st round. The pattern considered atypical caused immediate concern about possible fraud.

According to information from the agency several bookmakers, including Caesars Sportsbook, decided to refund bettors. After the unexpected result, the organization disqualified Dulgarian from the tournament on Sunday night (Nov 2).

Dana White told the channel TMZ that the organization contacted Dulgarian before the fight. “We called the fighter and his lawyer and asked, ‘What’s going on? There’s some weird betting going on in your fight. Are you hurt? Do you owe anyone money? Has anyone approached you?'”disse White.

According to the UFC CEO, the fighter responded: “No, no way. I’m going to kill this guy.” After the defeat, White stated: “Literally the first thing we did was call the FBI.” Regarding the current situation, the executive commented: “It doesn’t look good, it definitely doesn’t look good.”

White met twice with the FBI on Tuesday (Nov 4) to discuss the case. According to information from Uncrowned, the Nevada Athletic Commission plans to withhold Dulgarian’s fight purse as a result of the alleged incident.

Cases of manipulation in the UFC

It was the UFC’s second betting scandal in 3 years. In 2022, Darrick Minner’s case resulted in his dismissal and suspension along with his coach James Krause. In a previous episode, in 2015, South Korean fighter Tae Hyun Bang received a 10-month prison sentence for intentionally manipulating the outcome of a fight.
