American election nights can be a lengthy and sometimes tough affair. The results from individual districts usually arrive drop by drop and in a disorganized manner and are analyzed and commented on by experts – but you have to wait a long time for the result. This was also the case in the presidential election a year ago, when Donald Trump was not declared the winner until 5:30 a.m. the next morning.
