According to experts, the psychology of self-worth often plays a role in this. A woman feels that she is attractive enough that a man will break the rules for her. Some admit that they are attracted by the sheer risk and forbidden nature of the situation. However, psychologists point out that this desire is often in the background the need for recognition and the desire to be the special one. It’s actually a power and confidence game that can be addictive for both parties.
With the advent of social networks and online communication, this trend has become even more widespread. Virtual flirting, secret messages or innocent likes can quickly turn into emotional infidelity. Therefore, experts remind that although the fantasies may be innocent, the line between excitement and harm tends to be very thin.
