French President participated in a joke by a comedian, who accompanied him on the trip to COP30
The President of France, (Renascimento, center), participated in a quiz about Brazilian curiosities with the French comedian, in a video published on Sunday (9.nov.2025).
Cabannes, who has lived in Brazil since 2015, played a game of “true or false” during a flight. Macron was in Brazil for the COP30 Leaders’ Summit climate conference in Belém. He also visited Salvador.

Macron was right to consider it true that music “Travel, Travel”, by French artist Desireless, is played at Brazilian family barbecues, but he got it wrong when asked about the way Brazilians laugh on social media.
The final question was about the former Brazilian striker’s supposed desire to play for Olympique de Marseille, a team of which Macron is a fan. When he discovered it to be a false statement, the French president summoned Ronaldo to clarify the issue and “fix things”.
The interaction is seen as a gesture of rapprochement between Macron and Brazil. During the president’s government (PT), the country’s relationship with France has strengthened.
