Most voters say they have already decided to vote for 2026, shows Futura/Apex research

The majority of Brazilian voters (55.6%) say they have already decided who to vote for in the 2026 presidential elections, according to a Futura/Apex survey released this Tuesday (11). Another 39.1% said they could change their mind by the date of the election, while 5.3% did not know or preferred not to respond.

Despite the voters’ early conviction, the electoral scenario is still under construction, without the formal definition of candidacies.

Among the names that have already announced their intention to run for Palácio do Planalto are:

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), which must run for re-election;
Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), governor of São Paulo and name supported by Jair Bolsonaro (PL), although he has not yet confirmed his candidacy;
Romeu Zema (Novo), governor of Minas Gerais, who is considering running for President;
Eduardo Leite (PSDB), governor of Rio Grande do Sul, which is trying to consolidate itself as a center alternative;
Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil), governor of Goiás, who has already launched a pre-candidacy for the center-right;
Ratinho Jr. (PSD), governor of Paraná, who is seen as a possible moderate option within the government camp;
• Renan Santos (Missão), president of the party linked to the MBL, who officially launched himself as a pre-candidate.

In addition to them, other names from the right and center-right, such as Michelle Bolsonaro and Eduardo Bolsonaro, are frequently mentioned by allies as possibilities, although they have not yet made official announcements.

The survey was carried out between November 4th and 8th, with 2,000 telephone interviews, a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points and a confidence level of 95%.
