Every year before Christmas, expenses for the upcoming festival trickle down. These weeks are still one of the most important periods of the year for trading. However, the initial situation remains difficult. Inflation is clearly too high. Expenses for rent, energy, services and food eat a deep hole in the household budget, especially for those with lower incomes. In many cases it doesn’t help that prices for many everyday goods fell in the third quarter.
