St. Pölten – The SKN St. Pölten footballers suffered the expected, clear defeat against the next superior force in the Champions League. The Lower Austrians lost 0:6 (0:2) against England’s champions Chelsea. Anything other than the third defeat after the 0:6 against Atletico Madrid and 0:3 against Olympique Lyon would have been a sensation. Nevertheless, 2,400 fans made the pilgrimage to St. Pölten on Tuesday to watch one of the biggest names in European women’s football.
